John Meyer, a Vietnam Era Army Veteran, Established AARVorg Inc. “AdoptaAtRiskVeteran” in 2018. I became aware of vast number of at-risk and homeless veterans and their families in the community. “ At 80 years old these are supposed to be ‘My Golden Years’ and I just couldn’t stand by knowing the plight of my fellow veterans.” After a meeting with my friend Steve Baker, I found that lack of funds is a big problem for charities. I decided that AARV would be a ‘FUND Raising Charity’, providing funds for any 501c 3 charity helping veterans. What a different concept, Vets helping Vets helping Vets. I need your generous donations to make this happen. Join me, make an “old soldier’s” dream come true. Covid-19 has slowed me down a little. Just a little! Be Somebody that cares.
